en تأثیر متن منبع فرهنگ بر کیفیت ترجمه مقاله حاضر تحقیقی را برای بررسی اینکه آیا آگاهی از فرهنگ ST تاثیری بر کیفیت ترجمه کارآموزان مترجم دارد یا خیر گزارش کرده است. 20 ایرانی فارغ التحصیل ترجمه انگلیسی در این مطالعه شرکت کردند. آنها به دو گروه آزمایشی و کنترل تقسیم شدند. پس از همگن سازی شرکت کنندگان از طریق آزمون تافل ، یک پیش آزمون ترجمه به آنها داده شد و سپس زمینه های فرهنگی ST به گروه آزمایش داده شد که بعداً مجبور شدند از مطالب آموزش داده شده در تمرین ترجمه کلاس خود در طول یک ترم تحصیلی استفاده کنند. گروههای کنترل بصورت سنتی در کلاسهای ترجمه شرکت داده شدند. پس آزمون ترجمه در پایان ترم به همه گروه ها داده شد. نتایج آماری تفاوت معنی داری بین قبل و بعد از آزمون در گروه آزمایش در مقایسه با گروه شاهد مشاهده شد. The present article reports a study carried out to investigate whether or not awareness of ST culture has any impact on the translation quality of translator trainees. 20 Iranian graduated from English translation took part in this study. They were divided into two groups, one experimental and one control groups. After homogenizing the participants through a TOEFL test, a translation pre-test was given to them and then cultural backgrounds of ST were taught to the experimental group who were later required to use the taught material in their classroom translation practice during one academic semester. The control groups were run traditionally as widely practiced in Iranian graduated translation classes. A translation post-test was given to all the groups at the end of the semester.
