معماری سنتی ایران پر از مفاهیم مبتنی بر فرهنگ و اعتقادات ایرانی اسلامی است. این مفاهیم نتیجه آزمایش و خطا ، بهبود ایده ها و فرهنگ بزرگ ایران است و ساختاری مبتنی بر آب و هوا و سبک زندگی این افراد ایجاد کرده است. آثار معماری بسیاری در خانه های دوران قاجار در شهر بهبهان (خوزستان ، ایران) وجود دارد که این مبانی نظری را نشان می دهد. تحقیق حاضر مبتنی بر روش تفسیری-توصیفی با استفاده از مدل کتابخانه ای- میدانی است. در ابتدا ، برخی منابع برای بررسی مفاهیم معماری ، فرهنگ و شرایط حفظ حریم خصوصی ایران استفاده می شود ، سپس با یک دیدگاه دقیق ، خانه های ایرانی-اسلامی مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار می گیرند تا ثابت شود که نقشه های معماری در آن زمان بر اساس الزامات مادی و معنوی فرهنگ و سنت مردم بوده اند. آثار معماری بیانگر تأثیر مستقیم فرهنگ سنتی جامعه ایرانی در طراحی معماری خانه ها است.
